Ronald J. Vega, Board Member
Ronnie Vega, a graduate of Loyola University School of Law, received his Master of Laws in Taxation from The University of Miami. He started practicing law in the New Orleans area in 1979.
Ronald J. Vega, managing partner, became an associate of the firm DeMartini, D’Aquila & Volk, A Professional Law Corporation in October 1998. Mr. Vega has been active in every aspect of the practice with a special concentration on estate planning, and creditors’ right & bankruptcy.
He was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1977, the U. S. Tax Court in 1978, and the United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana, and U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit in 1980. Mr. Vega has been a member of the Jefferson Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the New Orleans Bankruptcy Commission, and the Louisiana Association of Defense Council.
Ronnie was nominated by the Judges of the 24th JDC, Parish of Jefferson, State of Louisiana, to the Jefferson Parish Notarial Commission for the years 1993-2003, where he served as chairman/co-chairman. He presently serves as the District Court Representative for Jefferson Parish, for the Louisiana Secretary of State, Notary Division, 2005-present. He has also served as Judge Pro-Temp, First Parish Court, Jefferson Parish, State of Louisiana, for the years 1993-present.
Ronnie has served on the East Jefferson General Hospital Foundation, Board of Trustees, from 2000-2010. He was chairman for the year 2007-2008. He now serves as an Emeritus Board member for the East Jefferson General Hospital Foundation, for the years 2011-present. Currently, he chairs the Plan Giving Committee for the foundation. Ronnie and his family were members of the Bissonet-Maned Downs Country Club, Metairie, Louisiana. During that time, he served on the Board of Directors and was also president of the country club for two terms.
