J. Philip Boudreaux, M.D. FACS
Dr. Philip Boudreaux is a Professor of Surgery at LSUHSC School of Medicine, Department of Surgery and also participates in Liver/Pancreas Transplant Services. Dr. Boudreaux attended medical school at LSU School of Medicine.He then completed his internship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, and his residency in GeneralSurgery with LSU at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Dr. Boudreaux completed a research fellowship at Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital in PediatricSurgery and a fellowship at the University of Minnesota in Organ Transplantation & Immunology. He instituted the liver and pancreas transplant programs at LSU, performed the first pancreas transplant in Louisiana, and initiated the liver and kidney transplant programs at Children’s Hospital, New Orleans. Dr. Boudreaux is board certified in both Surgery and Critical Care and holds a specialty certificate in Transplant Immunology.
Clinical Interests:
Treatment of neuroendocrine tumors, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery radio frequency and Nanoknife ablation of solid tumors; liver, pancreas, and kidney transplantation
