Dr. Ramsey Abdelghani — Tulane University School of Medicine/EJGH
Dr. Ramsy Abdelghani is a New Orleans native. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Baton Rouge General and his Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. He then went on to Harvard Medical School for his Interventional Pulmonary fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital. As an Interventional Pulmonologist, he specializes in minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat a wide array of respiratory disease, including diagnosing lung cancer, treating patients with COPD, placing airway stents, performing pleural biopsies and ablative procedures.
Dr. Abdelghani is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Interventional Pulmonology. He is a diplomat of the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (AABIP), and an active member in the American college of Chest physicians (CHEST), the American thoracic society, and the society of advanced bronchoscopy. He currently serves as the Director of Interventional Pulmonology at Tulane Medical School.
Dr. Abdelghani has published dozens of articles about interventional pulmonology as well as presenting these findings at national and local conferences. He is passionate about bringing the most cutting-edge clinical trials and procedures to Louisiana, including bronchial rheoplasty and lung cancer ablation trials.
