Robert Vasquez, M.D. — Ochsner
Robert Vasquez, MD, PhD is a native of Bethlehem, PA. He received his undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College, his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Lehigh University, did post-doctoral work in the laboratories of Richard Vallee (Worcester Foundation for Experimental Biology) and Fredrick Maxfield (Weil Medical College), and received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate.
He did his Pediatric residency and fellowship in Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation at the University of Chicago. He came to New Orleans in 2012 and is Director of the Pediatric Cellular Therapies and the Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer and Survivor programs at Ochsner Children’s Hospital. He lives in New Orleans with his husband, Benjamin Samuels.
